Unforgiven has arrived. The war between the WWF and WCW has truly become unforgiveable as WCW has made the WWF’s lives a living hell and they have taken the WWF’s most prized possession the WWF Championship. Stone Cold Steve Austin attempts to regain the title in a First Blood Match against Sting while WCW attempts to reclaim there own prized possession with Booker T challenging The Rock for the WCW World Championship. Kurt Angle seeks revenge on DDP, but as the WWF tries to keep there prized possession a internal battle between Edge and Christian for the IC Title takes place as betrayal and the war with WWF and WCW reaches Unforgiven.

Unforgiven 2001
September 23, 2001 from Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, PA

On Sunday Night Heat

The Filthy Animals *WCW Cruiserweight Champion Billy Kidman & Rey Mysterio* def. X-Factor *X-Pac and Albert*
– Mysterio nails X-Pac with a 619 and Kidman follows up with the shooting star press before making the cover for the win

Main PPV

WCW Tag Team Championship Match: WCW’s Chuck Palumbo & Sean O’Haire (c) def. The WWF’s The APA to retain the titles
– Late in the match Faarooq gets isolated and is double teamed by Palumbo & O’Haire
– Faarooq after a double clothesline makes the hot tag to Bradshaw and Bradshaw takes down Palumbo with a powerslam
– Then he throws O’Hare out of the ring and he sets Palumbo up for the clothesline from hell
– Bradshaw goes for the clothesline from hell, Palumbo surprises Bradshaw with a Djungle Kick and goes for the cover
– However, Faarooq is able to break the count
– O’Haire then nails Farooq with a DVD and Palumbo is able to make the cover for the win

Backstage: Rob Van Dam & Bischoff
– RVD arrives and is greeted by Eric Bischoff, who offers him his managing services to him
– Van Dam replies that he is a “one-man” show but Bischoff can help find him a dressing room to contain his superstar status
– Bischoff says she can get him any dressing room they have

Ringside: Kurt Angle’s family
– Michael Cole asks Kurt Angle’s family about his neck problems and what it would mean to him to win in his hometown in front of his family
– They answer that it would be a very exciting evening for the Angle family if he pulled out the win

WCW’s Torrie Wilson w/Stacy Keibler def. The WWF’s Trish Stratus w/Lita
– Late in the match Trish hit the bulldog but Stacy started distracting the ref which led to Lita tripping Stacy off the apron
– With the ref distracted by the catfight on the outside Trish turned around and got hit right in the face with one of Torrie’s shoes that she took off as Torrie made the cover and got the victory

Backstage: Christian
– Lilian Garcia interviews Christian
– Christian says he will fulfill his dream by pinning Edge and become the IC Champion

WWF Intercontinental Championship Match: The WWF’s Christian def. The WWF’s Edge (c) to win the title
– Christian goes right after Edge
– The referee gets between them and is knocked out
– Edge is able to hit Christian with the Impaler DDT there is no ref
– Edge checks on the ref while Christian gets back up and grabs the IC Title on the outside
– Christian enters the ring and whacks Edge with the IC Title
– Christian then pins Edge to capture the IC Title

WWF Tag Team Championship Tables Match: The WWF’s The Dudley Boyz (c) def. WCW’s KronIK to retain the titles
– Even before the bell rings, The APA start pounding on Kronik
– The fight spills outside the ring, where Kronik takes out D-Von by using the ring barrier
– Bubba tries to fight back and eventually D-Von comes back hitting a double clothesline to KronIK
– D-Von is on fire, taking out both Adams and Clarke
– The Dudleyz hit the wazz-up and go for the tables and sets the table up and sets up Adams for the 3D but Clarke saves his partner
– Kronik then both beat down D-Von until Bubba enters the ring to help his partner
– This allows D-Von to climb the top rope and take out Bryan Clarke with a flying clothesline
– With Clarke out of the equation, The Dudleyz hit Adams with a 3D through the table for the victory and to retain there WWF Tag Team Titles

WWF Hardcore Championship Hardcore Match: WCW’s Rob Van Dam (c) def. The WWF’s Chris Jericho in a Hardcore match to retain the title
– The two brawl in and outside the ring
– At one point, RVD sets Jericho up on the ring barrier and tries a Spinning Wheel Kick off the ring apron but Y2J moves
– As RVD tries to get to his feet, Jericho grabs a ladder out from under the ring
– Jericho suplexes Van Dam onto the ladder
– Jericho then applies the Walls of Jericho but Van Dam is able to escape
– Jericho goes for the Lionsault bur RVD moves and goes for the Five Star but Y2J rolls out of the way
– RVD then climbs the ladder but is locked in the Walls on top of it
– Jericho starts pounding Van Dam with a steel chair when Bischoff runs to the ring
– He distracts Jericho and RVD hits the Van Daminator and follows with the Five Star Frog Splash to retain the title

WCW World Championship Match w/WCW Owner Shane McMahon and WWF Commissioner William Regal as Special Guest Referees on the outside of the ring: The WWF’s The Rock (c) def. WCW’s WCW United States Champion Booker T to retain the title
– After several minutes, Booker T sets-up The Rock for a Harlem Side Kick, but Rock moves, resulting in Booker accidently hitting WCW Official Charles Robinson with the Harlem Side Kick
– The Rock now takes the advantage and locks Booker in a Sharpshooter
– Booker is tapping out, William Regal goes to ring the bell but Shane McMahon shoves him into the ring post
– Rock sees Shane on the outside and puts two and two together and starts to chase after Shane
– Shane re-enters the ring and as Rock is chasing Shane, Booker recovers to plant The Rock with a Book-End but only gets a 2 and a half count from Shane.
– Shane, leaves the ring, grabs a steel chair and hands it to Booker T
– Booker, is calling for The Rock to get up, Booker goes to swing the chair
– The Rock, however, is able to counter with a Rock Bottom and makes the cover but Shane refuses to count the 3
– Rock sets Shane up up for a Rock Bottom, but again, Booker saves Shane and hits the Axe Kick
– Shane attempts to make the count, Out of no where, William Regal pulls Shane out and decks him with a right hand and enters the ring taking over the officating duties
– Booker is furious, Booker goes for the Book-End again but The Rock counters and hits a Spinebuster and a People’s Elbow before making the cover as Regal counts the 3 and The Rock retains the WCW World Title

4 on 2 Handicap Ravens Rules Match: The WWF’s The Brothers of Destruction def. WCW’s Raven’s Flock
– As soon as the match begins, The Undertaker attacks Raven beating him up with his singapore cane while Kane starts brawling with Kanyon, Saturn and Stevie Richards
– Raven soon gets the cane back and nails Taker with it
– Kanyon, Saturn and Richards isolate Kane on the outside to keep him from getting involved
– Raven canes the crap out of Taker and chokes the Dead Man
– Saturn and Kanyon double team Kane throwing him into the barrier
– A few minutes later, Taker tries to go old-school on Raven but Richards gets on the apron and crotches Taker on the top rope
– Raven then hits a rope-hung DDT but Taker kicks out of a pinfall attempt
– Raven’s Flock starts to isolate Taker, Raven is handed a Steel Chair by Richards, but Taker big boots the chair into Raven’s face
– The Brothers of Destruction start getting some control as Taker starts to beat Raven up
– Taker continues his attack on Raven and goes for a Big Boot, but Raven ducks and Taker crotches himself on the top rope
– Raven goes for a clothesline, Taker blocks and chokeslams him but Stevie Richards breaks up the count
– Kane get’s in the ring and big boots Richards, Raven fights back and hits Kane right in the back with a Steel Chair knocking him out of the ring
– He then nails Taker with a Evenflow, but Taker kicks out
– Raven has Taker in the turnbuckle and climbs it to punch Taker in the head and even bite him
– Out of nowhere, Taker presses Hogan up in the air and hits the Last Ride
– Taker then leaves the ring and starts helping Kane fight off Saturn and Kanyon who were prepreing to double suplex Kane through the announcers table
– Taker and Kane get control, The Brothers of Destruction hit simutanious chokeslams to Saturn and Kanyon through the english and spanish announcers table
– Undertaker gets back in the ring and Raven blinds Taker with a Fire Extinugsher and goes for the evenflow
– Taker drops to his knees and low blows Raven, Taker is able to clear his eyes and hits Raven with a Last Ride as Kane takes out Stevie Richards with a big boot on the outside as Taker makes the cover to get the victory
– After the match, Stevie Richards hits Taker in the back with the Steel Chair but Taker no sells it as Taker and Kane hit a nasty double chokeslam to Stevie Richards.

Kurt Angle def. Diamond Dallas Page
– Late in the match, DDP goes right after Angle’s injured neck, stomping on and driving his knee right into the neck and then simply standing on it
– Kurt can fight back and hits three German Suplexes with the third further hurting his neck
– Angle then hits Page with the Angle Slam but DDP can kick out
– DDP returns the favour by countering Angle’s 2nd attempt at the Angle Slam into the Diamond Cutter which the Olympic Hero kicks out of
– DDP again goes for a Piledriver but Kurt reverses it into the Ankle Lock
– Page eventually taps out
– Angle celebrates with his family in the ring afterwards

WWF Championship First Blood Match: WCW’s Sting (c) def. The WWF’s Stone Cold Steve Austin to retain the title                                                                        – Eric Bischoff comes out to ringside and joins J.R and Paul Heyman on commentary before the match starts
– At one point, Sting got tied up in the ropes after accidently bumping into WWF official Earl Hebner which led to Austin going for the Stunner but Sting pushed him off yet fell back into Hebner which led to Sting getting tied up in the ropes
– Austin left the ring and grabbed a Steel Chair, but Scott Steiner comes out and Austin levels him with a Steel Chair and when Austin went to go hit Sting with the chair. Sting kicked the chair into Austin’s face
– Late in the match, Austin hits the Stone Cold Stunner to Sting and grabbed the chair and was readying to level Sting with it until Eric Bischoff gets up removing his headset and holds onto Austin’s foot.
– Austin kicks Bischoff off him and leaves the ring and knocks Bischoff down with a right hand before stomping a mudhole in him
– Austin then re-enters the ring, but Sting whacks Austin in the stomach with the baseball bat
– Sting then goes for the Scorpion Death Drop but Austin coutners into sling shotting Sting inadvertenly into Hebner in the corner and grabs the chair once again and readies to hit Sting with it
– Out of nowhere, Rob Van Dam comes out and hits Austin with the Van Daminator as Austin was holding the chair
– Chris Jericho then comes out and starts getting into a brawl with Rob Van Dam as they brawl backstage as Austin is busted open from the Van Daminator
– When both men get up, Sting and Austin start trading blows and Austin hits Sting with another Stunner
– WCW Official Nick Patrick comes out and rings the bell seeing that Austin was busted wide open awarding the match to Sting meaning Sting retains the WWF Title
– Austin hits Patrick with the Stunner but when he gets up and turns around Sting hits him right in the face with one of the cameras he took from one of the cameramen
– Eric Bischoff has recovered and has stood up with a smile from ear to ear on his face as Sting holds up the WWF Title over a knocked out Stone Cold Steve Austin as Unforgiven comes to an end
