WWF 2001: WWF vs WCW Part 3 King Of The Ring “World Champions Collide”

As WCW has slowly but surely starting to attack the WWF superstars. The King of the Ring has finally arrived and it is arguably one of the most historic King of the Rings in history. WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin and the WCW World and United States Champion Booker T meet in the first ever WWF Champion vs WCW World Champion match for the first time in a WWF ring. Kurt Angle seeks to become the first back to back winner of King of the Ring. The Undertaker looks to get his hands on the masked men and get his wife back and Shane McMahon must face The Big Show as little does Vince know Shane has another WCW trump card waiting in the wings.

Main PPV

Backstage: The Undertaker
– The Undertaker arrives at the building on his motorcycle
– Michael Cole catches up with The Undertaker and asks him what his exact plans are for the masked men tonight
– The Undertaker looks at Cole unimpressed by his question and does not answer and just walks away

KotR Semi-Finals: Kurt Angle def. WWF European Champion Jeff Hardy to advance to the finals
– The referee would be accidently knocked down by a Jeff Hardy whisper in the wind leading to Angle low blowing Hardy
– Matt Hardy ends up interfering hitting Angle with the Twist of Fate and Jeff follows with the swanton bomb as the ref was starting to come too but Team RECK Member Rhyno comes out and gores Matt Hardy down which distracts the referee
– Jeff is distracted by this and runs into an Angle Slam by Angle who makes the cover to get the victory

Backstage: Mr.McMahon
– Michael Cole asks Vince about his thoughts on the WWF Champion vs WCW Champion Match
– Vince says and acknowledges that he and Stone Cold hate each others guts as Vince does say he would rather have anyone else be the WWF Champion other then Stone Cold but Vince says he needs Austin and tonight he can’t wait to see him whoop Booker T’s ass
– Cole asks Vince about his son Shane’s street fight against The Big Show
– Vince would say that his son made his bed when he bought WCW and that tonight he is going lay in it and take the biggest ass kicking in the world from The Big Show as Vince walks away

Backstage: The Undertaker
– The Undertaker is seen pacing in his locker room waiting for word when the masked men arrive
– Undertaker then on the monitor in his locker room sees the stalker footage of Sara being played as Taker gets pissed and ends up destroying the monitor

King of the Ring Semi-Finals: WWF IC and WWF Tag Team Champion Chris Jericho def. Edge to advance to the finals
– Edge went for the spear but Jericho hit the enzguri kick leading to Jericho hitting the lionsault on Edge and made the cover to get the victory
– As Jericho was celebrating he looked up on the titantron and saw The Impact Players beating down Chris Benoit in the backstage area as Jericho looked shocked

Backstage: The Impact Players & Benoit
– The Impact Players beat down Benoit and send him into a crate
– Lance Storm then looks in the camera and tells Jericho that it looks like Benoit won’t be able to make it to the Tag Team Title match and Storm then informs Jericho that match is next

WWF Tag Team Championship Match: The Impact Players def. Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit (c) to win the titles
– The Impact Players end up double teaming Jericho through out the match until Jericho was able to counter a double suplex into a double suplex into his own
– Chris Benoit ended up coming out as Jericho was able to get the hot tag as Benoit cleaned house
– Benoit would fight hard but Benoit missed a flying headbutt on Credible leading to Storm hitting the superkick on Jericho as Credible ended up hitting that’s incredible onto Benoit as Credible got the cover for the victory as The Impact Players became the new WWF Tag Team Champions

Backstage: The Undertaker
– The Undertaker is informed in his locker room that the masked men have arrived in the building

Street Fight: WCW Owner Shane McMahon def. The Big Show
– WCW Wrestlers Mike Awesome, Chavo Guerrero interfere until The APA come out and brawl with Awesome and Chavo to the backstage area – The Big Show would be distracted by this leading to Shane hitting 2 chair shots to the head of The Big Show when Big Show turned around before hitting the flying steel chair shot to The Big Show as Shane would then make the cover and got the 3 count to pick up the victory

Backstage: Kurt Angle
– Michael Cole asks Kurt about his King of the Ring Finals match with Chris Jericho
– Kurt who is full of himself says that tonight is going to be the greatest night in WWF history when for the first time ever they see a back-to-back winner King of the Ring winner
– Cole asks Angle about the WCW’s Impact Players giving Angle a seeming advantage by having taken the WWF Tag Team Championship from Jericho and Benoit earlier on in the night
– Angle says that as far as he is concerned there are no excuses and that WCW will have nothing to do with it when he retains his crown as King

WWF Womens Championship Match: Chyna (c) def. Lita to retain the title
– Lita fights hard but Chyna wins after hitting Lita with the powerbomb

Ringside: The Undertaker
– More footage of Sara airs
– The Undertaker is pissed and walks out to the ring and grabs a mic and demands for the masked men to get there asses out to the ring right now
– The Masked Men come out with Sara and the 3rd masked man lets Sara go as Sara and Taker are reunited
– Taker gets Sara out of harms way before he is attacked by the masked men as the fight is on and Taker was seemingly getting the upper hand until one of the masked men lays out Taker with a Steel Chair
– 2 Of The Masked Men reveal themselves to be Perry Saturn and Chris Kanyon and the 3rd masked man reveals himself to be Raven as they set up to finish Taker off until the fire pyro hits as Kane comes out as Raven, Saturn and Kanyon bail out of the ring and go through the crowd as Kane enters the ring and Taker sits up

King of the Ring Finals: WWF IC Champion Chris Jericho def. Kurt Angle to win the King of the Ring Tournament
– The referee would be accidently knocked down when Jericho rolled through the ankle lock making Angle go into the referee knocking the referee out of the ring
– Lance Storm would run out to the ring and would go to superkick Jericho but Jericho ducked and Storm hit Angle with the superkick as Jericho would clothesline Angle over the top rope
– Jericho follows up with the lionsault and as the ref gets back into the ring Jericho makes the cover and the ref counts 3 as Jericho wins the match and The King of the Ring Tournament

Backstage: Stone Cold and Booker T
– We see Stone Cold and Booker T in there locker rooms getting ready for the main event

Backstage: Kurt Angle
– Angle walks by some security guys and is seemingly pissed off
– Michael Cole goes up to Angle and asks his thoughts on what just happened
– Angle asks who the hell do WCW think they are
– Angle promises that he is going to fight for the WWF against WCW and if Lance Storm ever gets involved in his business again he will get a Red, White and Blue ass whooping at the hands of Kurt Angle

WWF Champion vs WCW World Champion: WCW World and United States Champion Booker T w/Shane McMahon def. WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin
– Shane keeps interfering on Booker’s behalf until Vince comes out and knocks Shane down which distracts referee Earl Hebner
– Austin avoided the sisscors kick and hit the Stunner but made the cover with Hebner distracted and as Hebner is distracted Diamond Dallas Page comes through the crowd and gets in the ring hitting Stone Cold with the Diamond Cutter                                                                                                                      – DDP quickly got out of the ring as Booker ends up crawling to get the cover on Austin as Hebner makes the 3 count to give Booker T the victory                         – After the match Stone Cold and Vince get into a argument as Booker and Shane stand on the top of the ramp smirking as Shane raises Booker’s hand in victory as Booker holds up the WCW World Championship
