WWE has already taped the RAW after Wrestlemania 36 episode on April 6th. What they haven’t taped though is the April 10th episode of Smackdown. With Florida recently announcing a ‘stay-at-home’ order, many fans have been wondering about WWE’s plans for upcoming episodes.
We have an update for you on WWE’s taping plans for the Smackdown after Wrestlemania.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is still planning to tape Smackdown. WWE is reportedly planning a taping over the next few days at a secret location.
Here is what Meltzer said (h/t to Ringside News for the quotes below):
“They’re looking to tape SmackDown sometime between now and Friday. I mean, there is a location they’re trying to keep secret. It’s supposed to be in a shut down state, but we’ll see what happens. Maybe they won’t be able to do it, maybe they will, but that’s the goal at least for this week.”
If true, this means that the next episode of Smackdown will NOT be taking place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. This would also strongly hint that WWE is going to be in tough taping episodes over the next several weeks as long as the ‘stay-at-home’ order stays in effect.
