WWE Wrestlemania 33 Predictions – Kevin Owens vs Chris Jericho – WWE United States Championship
After a year-long friendship, Kevin Owens will take on his now bitter rival: Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 33 for the U.S Title.
It is not an exaggeration to suggest that the relationship between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho has been one of my favorite parts of RAW each week. It is amazing that Chris Jericho is able to reinvent himself time and time again to remain as one of the most entertaining guys in the company.
This is a match that has been building for the past year. The feud began after Kevin Owens turned on Jericho at the ‘Festival of Friendship’. As we all know, this led to Owens losing his WWE Universal Title and this match being made for Wrestlemania.
As for the match itself, I think it has the potential to be the match of the night. Both guys are great wrestlers and will be looking to put on a show at the event.
I think Kevin Owens will be winning the match and the title. This will be WWE’s way to sort of apologize to Owens for taking the Universal Title off him in just over 20 seconds. Chris Jericho also has put over young talent in the past at Wrestlemania (see: Fandango) and I think this whole friendship was designed with the end goal in mind of Jericho putting Owens over.
With Fozzy scheduled to tour over the next few months, we expect Jericho to take a small hiatus after the loss anyways.
Our official prediction – Kevin Owens wins.
