It was recently revealed that a WWE World Cup is coming soon. This will happen at the Crown Jewel PPV event in Saudi Arabia on November 2nd. There are few details known right now but we thought that we would put together a list of some countries that could be represented at the event. I am operating under the idea that the World Cup event will be singles matches between Superstars from different countries in a tournament format.
WWE World Cup 2018 Predictions
24) Albania – Rezar
I am not sure how many countries will be featured in the WWE World Cup. An option for the tournament is the country of Albania, where they could be represented by Rezar of the Authors of Pain. Rezar is billed as the ‘The Albanian Psycho’ and would make a lot of sense.
I am not sure if WWE will feature Albania though unless they extend the tournament into a massive field of countries. Still an option though.
23) Australia – Buddy Murphy
With WWE going to Australia for the Super Show-Down event, I think that it would also be cool for the country to be represented in the WWE World Cup.
205 Live star Buddy Murphy would be an awesome choice here. He has been putting on some awesome matches with his fellow Cruiserweight’s and I would love to see him get a chance against some main roster stars.
22) Brazil – Cezar Bononi
This is a longshot as Cezar Bononi has barely made a splash in NXT. Still, he is a 6 foot 9 monster and was named the “Future Star of NXT” at the 2017 NXT Year-End Awards.
Cezar could represent Brazil if WWE wanted. He is billed from São Paulo, Brazil.
21) Bulgaria – Rusev
An obvious pick for the World Cup would be Rusev representing his home country of Bulgaria. Rusev’s character has always been very vocal about his home country so it would make sense for him to represent Bulgaria here.
Rusev seems like a lock for whatever the tournament ends up being. My guess is that he will be involved.
20) Canada – Kevin Owens
There are several Canadian wrestlers on the WWE roster at the moment. I would say that Kevin Owens is the biggest name and would have the best chance to represent Canada.
Would love to hear him speak French to the crowd for some heel heat. Would make a lot of sense if Canada is involved.
