1) Cain Velasquez
Cain Velasquez lost to Brock Lesnar at WWE Crown Jewel in his debut match. Since the match, Cain hasn’t appeared on WWE television. There were rumors after the match that Cain was going to get knee surgery. This would be to fix an issue that has been bugging him for a while. If that happened, that would keep him out of action for months.
What is interesting is that Cain is now being advertised to wrestle at WWE’s live event in Mexico in a few weeks. He will team with Humberto Carrillo against Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. What is interesting about that is it means Velasquez did not get the knee surgery. Which means he could still return to WWE television.
The perfect spot would be Cain returning to help Rey Mysterio win the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar. Brock vs Rey has no disqualifications, so this is entirely possible.
This would set up Cain vs Brock II (without the WWE Title involved this time). It would also get the belt off Brock. I wouldn’t rule this one out completely.
