3) Shelton Benjamin
Shelton Benjamin re-signed with WWE back in 2017. If he signed a standard 3-year deal with the company, that means his deal will be expiring in 2020.
I could definitely see Benjamin leaving WWE. He hasn’t been used much at all in WWE over the past few years. I had some higher expectations for him when he returned to the company but he hasn’t been pushed for whatever reason.
Based on how things have gone, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him choose to not re-sign with the company. He seems like a solid candidate to leave the company in 2020.
2) Matt Hardy
According to a recent report, Matt Hardy’s contract will be expiring with WWE in February or March of 2020. To me, Matt seems like a strong candidate to leave.
Matt hasn’t been used much over the past year or two. He has made a ton of money in his career and he seems to value creative freedom over money. As a result, I could see him potentially leaving WWE to do things his own way.
Matt has a great relationship with The Young Bucks. I could see them potentially bringing Matt into AEW. If not, Matt could still have success doing his Broken gimmick on the independent scene or in another promotion.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Matt leave based on how little he has been booked in WWE. He has also been teasing his exit on social media.
