3) The Red Lighting Will Be Returning At WWE Super Showdown
The match between Daniel Bryan and The Fiend at the Royal Rumble did not feature the red lighting that has become a staple of The Fiend’s matches. This led to many fans assuming that WWE got rid of it for good.
This doesn’t appear to be the case.
The Fiend and Daniel Bryan wrestled a recent live event with the red light back on. This appears to be a hint that the Royal Rumble was just a one-time thing and the light is coming back:
My Take:
- I am not a huge fan of the red light. It was cool for a bit but it is more distracting than anything. I would prefer for them to get rid of it for good.
2) Big Title Change Happening At The Event?
Goldberg vs The Fiend has been officially confirmed for the WWE Super Showdown event. This has many fans wondering if WWE will have Goldberg win the belt. This would set up Goldberg vs Roman Reigns for Wrestlemania 36. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided an update.
Meltzer says that Roman Reigns vs The Fiend is no longer the plan for Wrestlemania 36. It is unclear what WWE’s new plan is but Meltzer says he was told Reigns vs The Fiend is no longer happening.
This news will definitely cause more speculation about Goldberg winning the belt at Super Showdown.
My Take:
- I really don’t want to see Goldberg as the Universal Champion. I am still hoping that The Fiend retains.
