Here are some mistakes that WWE should avoid making at WWE Super Showdown.
5) Brock Lesnar Squashes Ricochet
WWE has officially confirmed the WWE Championship match for Super Showdown. It will be Brock Lesnar defending his belt against Ricochet.
If you are an avid reader of mine, you know that I have been pitching Ricochet vs Brock Lesnar for a while now. Brock always works better with smaller guys and I think that Ricochet’s athleticism sets us up for some fun reversals. I think that this has a chance to be a really good match.
I think that it would be a big mistake for Brock Lesnar to squash Ricochet in this match. WWE has a great opportunity to build Ricochet up as a sympathetic babyface. He can take a beating from Brock and keep coming back for more. Plus, he can pull off some cool reversals in the match that will confuse Brock and will get the crowd on his side. RAW is lacking top babyfaces right now and this could be a great way to take Ricochet to the next level.
I think that Brock squashing Ricochet would be a big mistake.
4) The Fiend vs Goldberg Goes Longer Than 5 Minutes
I think we can all agree that Goldberg vs The Undertaker at Super Showdown last year was a disaster. The match went for about 10 minutes and neither of them ended up looking good.
It doesn’t matter to me who you want to win this match. It should not go longer than 5 minutes. Anything other than that, we risk it turning into a complete disaster.
Goldberg was always at his best when he was involved in shorter matches. That shouldn’t change now that he is older. If he is going to win, have him win in less than 5 minutes. If he is going to lose, have The Fiend beat him in about 5 minutes. The match going longer is risky and could end up making both of them look bad. We definitely don’t need that to happen.
