3) The Miz vs Daniel Bryan Is Finally Happening (And It Should Be Awesome)
After several years, we are FINALLY going to see the Miz and Daniel Bryan face off. This feud has been incredible and there feels like some real-life hatred between these two. When it feels like that, you know they are doing something right.
I thought that the video series that WWE did on Smackdown Live this week was really well-done. It really helped tell the story of this rivalry and it made it feel like a big deal.
This match should be a lot of fun on Sunday night. Certainly, something that I am looking forward to.
2) AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe In A WWE Ring
If you were a fan of TNA, I don’t have to tell you that AJ Styles and Samoa Joe have some great chemistry inside of the ring. They have put on a handful of great matches while together in TNA for many years.
This will be their first televised match inside of a WWE ring. I for one, am extremely excited to see these guys face off again. I have been watching old matches between them to get me hyped (like from TNA’s Unbreakable PPV in 2005) and I recommend you do the same if you have time.
Joe vs Styles should be a lot of fun on Sunday.
1) The Card Is Pretty Loaded
Let’s end with some positivity about the Summerslam card. On paper, the card is looking really strong to me. We have two Wrestlemania-worthy matches (in my opinion) in Daniel Bryan vs the Miz and Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles. I am also excited for the Smackdown Women’s Title match, Ziggler vs Rollins and Nakamura vs Hardy to only name a few.
Looking at the card, there really isn’t a weak match. The kickoff show is also really solid with two Title matches. Nothing really for me to complain about.
On paper, this is looking like a really good card. Hopefully, most of the matches live up to expectations.
