We thought that we would take a different approach to our WWE Summerslam 2018 preview. We have decided to take the positive route and pick out several things that we are excited about this show. There is a lot of negativity in wrestling, so we have put together some reasons why we are hyped about the biggest event of the Summer.

10) Seth Rollins And Dolph Ziggler Will Both Have Chips On Their Shoulders
The crowd reaction to the match between Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins was a hot topic of conversation after Extreme Rules. The fans in the arena seemed to pay more attention to the clock for the Iron Man match, instead of the match itself.
What that tells me is that Ziggler and Rollins will probably have a chip on their shoulder heading into Summerslam. They are both talented in-ring performers and I am thinking that they will want to prove the fans wrong who didn’t pay attention to their match last time. My guess is that they both try to tear down the house on Sunday night.
I am expecting a great match and I am expecting a chip to be on both of their shoulders for this one. A great potential match between Ziggler and Rollins is a reason to be excited for Summerslam.
9) The ‘Lunatic Fringe’ Is Back And Ready To Kick Some Ass
Dean Ambrose made his return on the RAW before Summerslam, coming to the aid of Seth Rollins. Dean is now back full-time and he also has a new look. He has added some muscle and has cut off his hair. The Lunatic is back and looks better than ever.
I for one, am I excited to see Dean kick some ass at Summerslam on Sunday night. We know that he and Drew McIntyre will play some sort of role in the match between Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins. I expect Dean and Drew to exchange some blows and it should be fun to see what happens.
There are also plenty of storyline possibilities ahead for Dean. Will he turn on Seth, like some fans are speculating? Will Seth and Dean vs Drew and Dolph get set into motion for Hell in a Cell next month? I am excited to see what storyline is next for Dean.
8) The Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch Storyline Possibilities
One of the most interesting matches for me at Summerslam will be for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. Carmella will defend against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in a triple threat match.
Something that will be interesting, is the dynamic between Charlotte and Becky during the match. We know that they are good friends, but will one of them turn on the other in order to become Champion? This is something that a lot of fans have been theorizing about since Charlotte was added to the match.
I for one am excited to see what happens in this match and if we see a heel turn or Title change. Plenty of entertaining possibilities are ahead for the Smackdown Women’s division!
