Carmella Will NOT Cash In

A popular theory going around among fans about Summerslam is that we will see a cash-in from Carmella with her Money in the Bank briefcase.

We have seen cash-ins at Summerslam in the past and it certainly is a possibility. Carmella could cash in after Naomi successfully retains her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Natalya (or after Nattie wins).

We predict that this won’t happen and we won’t be seeing a cash-in happen at Summerslam. I just have a gut feeling that WWE will extend Carmella’s time with the briefcase and will let her hold onto it for the next few months.

I (personally) think it is too early for Carmella to be Champion and the company should wait for the right moment where she would get a ton of heat. My personal choice would be for Carmella to wait until Becky Lynch wins the title, only to steal it away from her.  Carmella in our opinion needs a big cash-in moment to give her some momentum for their Championship run. WWE should really wait for the perfect moment that will get her a ton of heat.

We predict a cash-in won’t actually happen at Summerslam.

Samoa Joe Walks Out As WWE Champion

Summerslam’s main event will be a massive fatal 4-way match. Brock Lesnar will defend his WWE Universal Championship against Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns.

When looking at this list, it seems (to us at least) that the person least likely to walk out with the title is Samoa Joe in this foursome.

Brock is Brock and has a great chance to retain his belt even against 3 other guys. There have been rumors for months about WWE potentially putting the title back on Roman Reigns, so he remains a big threat. Strowman is a guy that has momentum and the look that Vince McMahon loves, making him a big threat to become champion.

Samoa Joe on the other hand has been built up incredible well over the past few months but still probably has the least odds to become Champion out of the group.

I predict that Joe will shock the world and walk out as the new Universal Champion. Why you ask? I think WWE was really sold on Joe during his recent feud with Brock Lesnar. The crowd was behind this feud for the entire build. Joe proved that he can step in the ring with someone like Brock and proved he is a main event talent in WWE.

There were also rumors that Brock was very pleased with his match against Samoa Joe at ‘Great Balls Of Fire’. If this is true, maybe Brock wouldn’t mind dropping his belt to Joe. This would set up another big-time singles match between Brock and Joe, with Joe winning this time. I can’t begin to explain how much this could do for the career and star power of Joe moving forward. Love him or hate him, beating Brock Lesnar is a big deal.
