Here are some of our predictions for this week’s episode of Smackdown.
7) Carmella Will Help Lacey Evans In Her Feud With Bayley & Sasha Banks
Last week on Smackdown, Lacey Evans and Dana Brooke were defeated by Sasha Banks and Bayley. I have a feeling that Brooke is going to be replaced in this feud with Carmella.
Carmella has been piling up wins on Smackdown over the past few weeks. That has me thinking she could be the next challenger for Bayley’s Smackdown Women’s Title (after Lacey is done feuding with Bayley).
As a result, it might make sense to add Carmella into the mix and plant the seeds towards a future Carmella vs Bayley match.
6) Tension Will Be Teased Between Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville
Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose have been losing a lot of matches as of late. There are rumors that WWE could be splitting them up as a tag team.
My guess is that there will be some tension teased between Mandy and Sonya during the episode this week. I could see this coming during a backstage segment or after another loss. One of them will likely blame the other for their recent string of losses.
I don’t think that they will split up this week but some tension will definitely be teased between them.
5) The New Day Will Start A Feud With Heavy Machinery
Heavy Machinery defeated The Revival on Smackdown a few weeks ago. That tells me that Heavy Machinery will likely be the next challengers for the New Day and their Smackdown Tag Team belts.
My guess is that WWE starts a feud between The New Day and Heavy Machinery on the episode this week.
I think that WWE will hint at a match between the two teams at The Royal Rumble PPV. If not at the Rumble, this match could happen on an upcoming episode of Smackdown. Regardless, I see WWE setting this feud into motion during the episode.
