Here are some of our predictions for this week’s episode of Smackdown.
7) Several Superstars Will Announce Their Entries Into The Women’s Royal Rumble Match
As of writing this, Nikki Cross, Alexa Bliss, and Sasha Banks are the only Smackdown stars who are confirmed for the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
That is definitely going to change on the episode this week. I am expecting several Superstars to announce their entries into the Women’s Rumble.
This will likely include names like Carmella, Dana Brooke, Mandy Rose, and Sonya Deville.
6) Sasha Banks & Bayley Will Attack Lacey Evans Before The Royal Rumble
Sasha Banks has not done anything for the past few weeks on Smackdown. I think that is going to change on the episode this week.
My guess is that Sasha and Bayley are going to attack Lacey Evans during the show. This would make sense because Lacey beat Bayley last week and Sasha also got injured during their backstage brawl. Both ladies will be out for revenge before the Royal Rumble.
This would be a way to generate some heel heat for Sasha and Bayley before the Royal Rumble.
5) Braun Strowman & Elias Will Team Up In A Handicap Match
Last week on Smackdown, Elias was beaten down by Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn, and Cesaro. Braun Strowman eventually interrupted and made the save for Elias.
My guess is that Elias and Braun will team together on the episode. Based on what happened last week, it would make sense for them to face Nakamura, Cesaro, and Zayn.
If they don’t want Sami wrestling, they could also just do a regular tag match without him involved. Either way, Strowman and Elias will likely win.
