Here are some of our predictions for this week’s episode of Smackdown.
7) Lacey Evans vs Sasha Banks Will End via DQ After Bayley Interferes
WWE has confirmed a women’s match for the episode this week. It will be Lacey Evans facing off against Sasha Banks.
This match is definitely going to have a screwy finish. I see Bayley interfering and attacking Lacey. As a result, this would end the match via disqualification.
This seems like an easy way to build towards Bayley vs Lacey at the Royal Rumble PPV. It also protects both Lacey and Sasha from taking a loss.
6) Sheamus Will Defeat Shorty G
Shorty G defeated Dash Wilder on Smackdown last week. After the match, Shorty was attacked by Sheamus.
This sets us up nicely for a match between Sheamus and Shorty G on the episode this week. It would make a ton of sense after what happened between them.
If the match does happen, I expect Sheamus to win. They seem to be building him up as a top heel and I’d be surprised if he lost.
5) The Miz & John Morrison Will Announce Their Return To The Tag Team Division
It has been confirmed that John Morrison will be a guest on “Miz TV” on the episode this week. This comes after Morrison was spotted with The Miz on Smackdown last week.
My guess is that The Miz and John Morrison are going to announce their return to the tag team division. They used to team together in the past and it makes sense to keep them together.
They would be a strong addition to the Smackdown Tag Team division.
