Here are some of our predictions for this week’s episode of Smackdown.
7) Kofi Kingston Will Defeat Shinsuke Nakamura
WWE has confirmed Kofi Kingston vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the episode this week. This will be a non-title match.
I am going to say that Kofi will pick up the win here. My gut says that WWE is going to build up Kofi strong over the next several weeks.
I would be surprised to see Nakamura win here as I doubt that he is getting the next Title shot at Money in the Bank.
6) Roman Reigns Will Be Forced Into A Handicap Match
Last week on Smackdown, Roman Reigns punched Vince McMahon. In the episode preview, WWE is teasing some consequences for Roman for his actions.
I am going with Vince forcing Roman into a handicap match on the episode this week.
My guess is that it will be Elias and another heel or two. I can’t really think of anything else as punishment.
5) Asuka & Kairi Sane Will Squash Two Jobbers
It was recently announced that Asuka and Kairi Sane will be joining the Women’s Tag Team division. They will also be managed by Paige.
My guess is that WWE is going to start building them up slowly over the next few weeks.
I think that will start with them squashing a couple of jobbers on the episode this week. The goal here is to slowly build them up as a major tag team threat. I don’t think that they have to rush them right into the Women’s Tag Team Title picture.
