Here are some of our predictions for this week’s episode of Smackdown.
7) Finn Balor Will Begin A Feud With Shinsuke Nakamura
Finn Balor didn’t end up having a match at the Stomping Grounds PPV. WWE will likely kick off a new feud for Balor and the Intercontinental Title as we start the build towards Extreme Rules.
My guess is that Balor starts feuding with Shinsuke Nakamura. This would make some sense as Balor and Nakamura have been working together in a few dark matches recently and at WWE live events.
I would be down for a feud between Balor and Nakamura. Could be a lot of fun.
6) Xavier Woods And Big E Will Join The Smackdown Tag Team Title Picture
Xavier Woods pinned Daniel Bryan during the elimination on RAW this week. This tells me that Woods and Big E will likely be joining the Smackdown Tag Team Title picture. Pinning the current Champion is always a big hint on that.
I also think that Heavy Machinery is going to stick around in the Tag Team Title hunt. That is because they only lost via roll-up at Stomping Grounds to Bryan and Rowan.
I see a triple threat match happening at Extreme Rules: Bryan and Rowan vs Heavy Machinery vs Big E and Xavier Woods. I expect some storyline build on the episode towards that.
5) The IIconics Will Attack The Kabuki Warriors
It has been confirmed that if the Kabuki Warriors defeat the IIconics in Japan (later this week), they will get a Women’s Tag Team Title match.
My guess is that the IIconics will attack the Kabuki Warriors from behind on the episode this week.
This would be a way to keep the feud going. Plus it would be smart for the IIconics to want to weaken the Kabuki Warriors before their match.
