15 Things That We Learned From Smackdown Live (September 5, 2017)

1) New Announce Crew On Smackdown Live

This weeks episode of Smackdown Live kicked off with a big change on the announce team. You probably heard last week that JBL was stepping down from his role on the commentary team. He was officially replaced by Corey Graves this week (and from now on).

Graves joins Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton as our new crew! They were solid throughout the night.

2) Shane McMahon Forgot His Lines (I Think)

Carmella and James Ellsworth were about to speak in the ring. They were interrupted by Kevin Owens, who claimed that he was the referee for the match between Carmella and Natalya. Owens was quickly interrupted by Shane McMahon.

Shane cut a promo on Owens but it looked like he forgot some of his lines. There was an awkward pause for a few moments and nobody really knew what was going on.

3) Kevin Owens Is A SAVAGE (And Things Got Personal)

Shane and Owens went back and forth on the microphone. Shane brought up that Owens was handed the WWE Universal Championship by Triple H. Owens went after Shane and his family.

Owens even tossed out: “Your whole family would have been better off if you didn’t survive that crash”. This is in reference to Shane getting into a helicopter crash a few months ago.

  1. The way they’re treating Sami Zayn… I’m disgusted. They don’t deserve someone like him, he’s just too talented for their poor storylines and their outrageous bookings.
