1) Fans Were Upset About All Of The Commercial Breaks
This week’s episode of Smackdown Live was kicked off with the United States Championship match. AJ Styles defended his title against Kevin Owens. This came after Styles won the title last week against Owens and Chris Jericho.
The match opened the show but featured a couple of commercial breaks. As you can imagine, fans were not thrilled:
Damn, USA is not making this match easy to watch. Two commercial breaks in 19 minutes? Ewww #SDLive

15 minutes into #SDLive and there have already been two commercial breaks. That’s ridiculous. @WWE @VinceMcMahon @TripleH @StephMcMahon

Seriously?? Second commercial break during the #USTitle match on #SDLive yet a promo can run the 1st 25 minutes and doesn’t get interrupted

WWE needs to pay those bills.
2) AJ Styles Is STILL United States Champion (After Some Controversy)
The match went for nearly the first half hour of Smackdown Live. It was eventually won by Styles after the referee was hit in the face. He was able to roll-up Owens for the 1-2-3.
As a result, Styles is STILL the WWE United States Championship. Kevin Owens argued that his shoulder was up but the decision stood:
It was a controversial ending, but @AJStylesOrg is STILL your #USChampion! #AndStill #USTitle #SDLive @FightOwensFight pic.twitter.com/NaKVsX4kME

AJ escapes with his title, but this won’t be the end of the feud….
