WWE Slammy Awards 2019 – Our Winners

4) WWE PPV Event Of The Year Award

– Our Winner: Survivor Series

Out of all the WWE PPV events in 2019, the one that stands out the most to me was Survivor Series. I was very invested in the event this year after WWE decided to include NXT. I thought that this was a great idea and it really added an intriguing element to the event.

The match of the night for me was Adam Cole vs Pete Dunne. It was awesome to see an NXT Title match on a regular WWE PPV and they delivered with a fantastic match.

My favorite part was the men’s elimination match. WWE made Keith Lee look like $1,000,000 with his performance. It was a star-making performance for Lee and I was so happy to see him in that spot. Rhea Ripley also looked amazing in the women’s elimination match.

Survivor Series gets my award this year as the best PPV of 2019. It is definitely the event that I enjoyed the most.

3) Female WWE Superstar Of The Year Award

— Our Winner: Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch is the clear favorite for the 2019 Female WWE Superstar of the Year award.

Becky main-evented Wrestlemania 36 alongside Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. This was the first time in history that women have ever main-evented Wrestlemania. Becky also won the match, winning both the RAW and Smackdown Women’s Championships.

Other than that, it was a really strong year for Becky. Her popularity has skyrocketed and she is considered one of the top Superstars in the entire company. She has also held onto the RAW Women’s Championship since Wrestlemania 35, putting on some fun matches along the way.

Becky had an amazing year and I don’t think anybody else comes close.

2) Male WWE Superstar Of The Year Award

– Our Winner: Kofi Kingston

I have to go with Kofi Kingston as my 2019 Male Superstar of the year. Kofi had a magical run from a tag team specialist to WWE Champion. This was all capped off by a really good match at Wrestlemania 35 against Daniel Bryan.

The crowd really got behind Kofi for his run to the top. It was a lot of fun to see his stock rise so much and for him to finally get the singles run that he deserves.

I think that we can all agree that it sucked how WWE took the belt off him (getting squashed by Brock Lesnar). Still, 2019 was an amazing year for Kofi and he should be really proud of what he accomplished.
