The WWE Evolution PPV event will be taking place on October 28th in Long Island, New York. This will be the first all-women’s PPV event that WWE has ever put on in their history.
We have some rumors to pass your way about the long-term plans for the event and also why it is happening in October.
According to Joseph Peisech on the No Holds Barred podcast, the reason why WWE is doing the Evolution PPV in October is because it is breast cancer awareness month.
He also says that this event is going to be a yearly thing. It could even happen twice a year if it is successful. Here is a quote (via Ringside News)
“Several sources have told me that this show in October will be done every year because of Susan G. Komen. You know October, Breast Cancer Awareness month so they want to keep this lady’s exclusive pay-per-view. I’ve been told that if it’s successful then there will be two of them per year.”
Would make a lot of sense for WWE to link the event with breast cancer awareness. The company already does a lot with Susan G. Komen and it seems like a natural fit for them to do.
Would you be down for an all-Women’s event every year?
On a related note, here are 12 matches that we think could happen at the event.
