In an interesting turn of events, Daniel Bryan announced that Vince McMahon will be appearing next week on Smackdown Live. This came after Vince suspended his son (and Smackdown Live commissioner) Shane McMahon indefinitely for attacking Kevin Owens.
During the show, Owens told Daniel Bryan that he was going to sue WWE and the McMahon family for what happened. Let’s speculate on what will happen next week on Smackdown Live when Vince shows up.
Prior to the attack, we saw Owens take several shots at Shane’s family that started it all. This included some comments about Vince, as well as Shane’s kids. It is clear that Owens isn’t a guilt free party in this altercation.
The popular theory going around among fans seems to be that Vince will show up to set up Kevin Owens vs Shane McMahon for a match at Hell in a Cell (in a Hell in a Cell match). This is also my prediction and I think it makes sense as the next step in this storyline.
Our guess would be that there will be a stipulation involved. If Shane loses, he is out of his job as Smackdown Live commissioner. If Shane wins, he is no longer suspended.
I can’t really see any other reason why Vince is showing up next week other than making a match between Shane and Owens.
Speaking of Vince, here are 10 stories that prove he is a maniac.
