The WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament was a success. Back in January, 16 wrestlers from the United Kingdom participated in the tournament to award the first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion. The tournament was won by Tyler Bate, who defeated Pete Dunne in the finals.
Since the tournament has concluded, it is still unclear what WWE’s plan is for the championship and the rest of the competitors that participated in the tournament. We have seen a few of them compete at NXT live events and on NXT TV but we still don’t know where the division will be full-time.

Current rumors suggest that tournament competitor: Pete Dunne could be in store for a big push from WWE and sooner than you might think.
According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), WWE is currently discussing having Pete Dunne appear on either the RAW or Smackdown Live after Wrestlemania 33. It should be noted that other UK talent from the tournament are likely going to be involved in Wrestlemania Axxess but Dunne is the only name mentioned as possibly appearing on the main roster.

It is being rumored that Triple H is very high on Dunne, having being impressed with his work during the tournament. Dunne is only 24 years old and has a very bright future ahead of him.
We recently posted a rumor about Triple H building a new version of Evolution on RAW (read here). This is strictly speculation from us, but Dunne would be a pretty great fit in Triple H’s heel stable as the young gun….. Triple H, Pete Dunne, Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe sounds pretty good to me…

they need to put it on smackdown live since that brand is one title missing.
