Surrounding Matt and Jeff Hardy Returning To WWE

Matt and Jeff Hardy have been talk of the wrestling world over the past week or so after they announced their departure from TNA. There was a ton of speculation that they could be joining WWE right away but they swerved fans by announcing that they were signing with Ring of Honor.

There has been a ton of news involving the Hardy Boyz and their departure from TNA. They are currently involved in a legal battle that is reportedly based upon who has ownership of the ‘Broken’ characters.

Here is the latest

There are some rumors circulating that their deal with Ring of Honor is not one that is long-term. This would still open up possibilities for the brothers to return to WWE in the near future. They will not be involved at Wrestlemania 33 but they still could appear sometime in May on WWE TV. Signing with Ring of Honor on a short-term deal might have been their way to play hardball with WWE to get a better offer from the company (money wise and less dates).

The reason why TNA is rumored to want a piece of the ‘Broken’ gimmick is in case they do go to WWE and use the characters, they would receive a percentage of their earnings. It is likely that Vince McMahon won’t want to pay TNA anything and if they do bring back the Hardy Boyz, it will be under their original gimmick (that is if TNA wins the lawsuit).
