Speculation On The Reason Why WWE Trademarked ‘Taboo Tuesday’

You might have heard by now that WWE has filed for the trademark of ‘Taboo Tuesday’. This was an old Pay-Per-View concept where fans would get to vote on the match stipulations. The event ran for a few years before being replaced by ‘Cyber Sunday’ (and eventually disbanded).

So why is WWE bringing it back? Would WWE really do a Pay-Per-View on a Tuesday?

Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), speculates that it could be brought back for a future (themed) episode of Smackdown Live.

We have seen a special edition of Smackdown in the past. WWE ran a show called: ‘Wild Card Finals’ that was a special edition of Smackdown in 2016. WWE loaded the card with several title matches.

Could be a fun way to add some extra excitement into a weekly episode of Smackdown Live.
