Alexa Bliss will have an uphill battle at Wrestlemania 33 if she wants to hold onto her Smackdown Women’s Championship. Daniel Bryan announced on the March 7th episode of Smackdown Live that she would be facing off against any female (available) on the Smackdown Women’s roster at the event.
During the segment, Natalya, Mickie James and Becky Lynch were also involved. We can assume that they will be 3 of the women competing in the match. So what’s the deal with Daniel Bryan saying any female available? Are we in store for some surprises?
One of the rumored reasons why WWE is keeping the match open-ended is because of Naomi. WWE is giving her an opportunity to compete in the match in her hometown of Orlando if she recovers from her knee injury in time. She recently posted an update on Twitter about her status:
Yes doing a lot better but I’m still going to rehab weekly knee still isn’t at ? but I still have time to try & make mania I’m not giving up https://t.co/uCqd7Yxu8K

If Naomi is able to go she will be a surprise for the match. It all depends on the next few weeks.
The other rumored reason is that WWE has a surprise (or two) in-store for the match involving a returning female star. Kelly Kelly and Victoria are names that have been rumored over the past several weeks. One of them could potentially be introduced soon.
It will be interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks in regards to this match. Let us know who you want to be a part of the Smackdown Women’s Title match at Wrestlemania 33.
