This past week on Monday Night RAW, Big Cass was revealed as the mystery attacker of Enzo Amore. Cass said that he is sick of carrying the dead weight that is Enzo as his tag team partner. The show ended this week with Cass attacking Enzo, breaking the hearts of fans around the world.
Much has been made about the future of Big Cass now that he is a singles star. It is clear that he was the (in-ring) star of the team and has the look and size that Vince McMahon loves.
But what about Enzo?
Enzo on the other hand is a tricky situation. He is no doubt one of the best talkers on the current roster, but what do you do with him? Some fans have suggested putting him in the Cruiserweight division since he is under 205 lbs. Chris Jericho even suggested this in a recent interview to help the division with star-power. Some fans have also suggested turning him into a mouthpiece for another WWE star on the roster. This seems less likely because they could have just done that with him as the full-time manager of Big Cass.
WWE might have given us a bit of a hint about Enzo’s future in a recent poll on WWE.com. They asked: “Which seven-foot Superstar (or near seven-footer) should Enzo Amore recruit to replace Big Cass?”. The Big Show, Kane, Kevin Nash and The Great Khali were options.
As you could guess, the Big Show is leading the poll by a wide margin. Enzo and the Big Show have been aligned for the past few weeks on RAW. It appears as if we could be seeing Enzo replace Big Cass with the Big Show moving forward as his partner. This would allow Enzo to remain in the Tag Team division and Big Cass to become a singles star on his own.
If this did happen, Enzo’s gimmick would essentially remain the same. Talk trash and have his giant buddy save the day.
Rumors also suggest that we could be seeing a match between the Big Show vs Big Cass at Summerslam. This would likely see Enzo at ringside.
