WWE Rumors Of The Day: April 16th, 2018

– In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Dave Meltzer says that WWE was scouting Women’s talent at SHIMMER on April 7th. This is for the Mae Young Classic tournament and future signings. According to Meltzer, Tessa Blanchard was said to be the standout.

– Meltzer also says that Mae Young Classic participant Jazzy Gabert will make a final attempt to get a WWE deal in October when she has recovered from surgery. She had her original offer from WWE rescinded due to issues discovered with her neck in the medical screening.

– Cathy Kelley confirmed in a recent interview that a cooking show could be coming to the WWE Network soon. Kelley says that they filmed the pilot last month and the first guest will be Becky Lynch. It is a cooking-interview hybrid. It hasn’t been 100% confirmed but Kelley says that her fingers are crossed. We posted prior that WWE recently filed for the trademark ‘Talking Snack’.
