It has been officially confirmed that Shinsuke Nakamura will be facing Dolph Ziggler at the upcoming WWE Backlash Pay-Per-View in Chicago. The event will be the first time that the ‘King of Strong Style’ wrestles on the WWE main roster.
I think it is safe to assume that WWE believes Nakamura is a big deal and won’t have him lose his debut match (fingers crossed). So what is next for Nakamura after Dolph?
There are some rumors floating around that he could be in-store for a feud against Kevin Owens next.
The WWE live event in Bakersfield, California on June 26th is currently advertising a match between Nakamura and Kevin Owens. The card is always subject to change at live events but pretty interesting that this match is listed.
Nakamura and Owens have previously worked one another in Ring of Honor and at some WWE live events when Nakamura first came to WWE. This could be a nice feud for Nakamura as WWE continues to build him up slowly.
I think a lot of fans would love to see this match take place. If this turns out to be the case, AJ Styles (who is currently feuding with Owens) will likely be back in the World Title hunt.
Since the card is subject to change, this will remain as a rumor and you should take this with a grain of salt. Fun to speculate about Nakamura and his future opponents on Smackdown Live. There are a ton of dream matches for him! Who do you want to see him wrestle next?
