The Summerslam kickoff show featured a 6-man tag team match between The Hardy’s & Jason Jordan against the Miz & the Miztourage. The most memorable part of the match was that they essentially wrestled in an empty arena.
The doors didn’t open for the event until 5:00 (PM) and the opening match was at 5:30. As a result, a large majority of the crowd was still trying to get into the building when the first match happened. Because of this, the 6-man tag match to start the show was nearly empty.
On Wrestling Observer Radio (subscribe here), Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez both said that they heard the Miz and the other guys in the match were ‘furious’ about wrestling in front of an empty arena.
If you want an example of how bad it was, here is the Miz celebrating after the match with only WWE’s social media person:

Hard to blame them for being mad.
