WWE Rumors Of The Day (January 3rd, 2018)

– The @WrestleVotes account says that John Cena will likely not be winning the Royal Rumble. The rumored (major) match in store for him at Wrestlemania 34 won’t involve either the WWE or Universal Title.

– There has been a big shift in betting odds over the past few days for the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Ronda Rousey was the heavy favorite when the match was first announced (-111). Asuka has now taken the lead as the favorite according to Bet Wrestling. The top 5 are as followed:  Asuka (+162), Ronda Rousey (+175), Paige (+600) Becky Lynch (+700), and Nia Jax (+1000).

– According to PWInsider, Enzo Amore really tried to defend his title against Cedric Alexander on RAW this week. He checked himself out of the hospital but was told by WWE officials that he wouldn’t be allowed to wrestle sick.

– It was announced on Tuesday that Beth Phoenix will be commentating the WWE Mixed Match Challenge. This had led to some speculation from fans that she will also be a participant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
