This week on Smackdown Live, Charlotte Flair faced off against Naomi for the Smackdown Women’s Championship. After a solid match, it was eventually interrupted by Natalya, Tamina and Carmella, who took out both girls to close the show.
This result has left many WWE fans talking about what this means for Charlotte and the Smackdown Live Women’s Division moving forward.
Rumors suggest that Charlotte is transitioning from heel to babyface. Many fans have been citing this recent tweet by Charlotte as confirmation of her face turn:

While it is unclear if WWE will turn her into a full-blown babyface moving forward, it seems like for the next little while she will be at the very least a tweener type character. But what is the plan?
Becky Lynch on Talking Smack confirmed that she will not be joining Natalya, Tamina and Carmella’s new faction.
Expect to see Becky Lynch join forces with Charlotte and Naomi over the next few weeks to take on the new female faction. If we had to guess, the match will probably take place at Backlash.

There is still some big money matches left for Charlotte against Becky Lynch and Naomi. If we had to guess, her face turn won’t end up as a long-term thing.

Would make more sense to have Natalya Tamina and Carmella help Charlotte win the title at Backlash. Charlotte joins the faction who then kick out Carmella turning her face. You then have Charlotte, Natalya and Tamina – all daughters of famous wrestlers – in a faction that would be the female equivalent of Legacy – call them “Genetically Superior” a phrase Charlotte has used already. Becky, Naomi and a newly face Carmella can be their face rivals (which has the added bonus of Becky and Carmella being allies which kills the Becky v Ellsworth rumours stone dead).
