Bray Wyatt will face off against Randy Orton in a ‘House Of Horrors’ match at the upcoming Payback pay-per-view. The original idea for them facing off was because Bray was technically owed his rematch after losing the title to Orton at Wrestlemania 33.
Now that Bray Wyatt has been moved to Monday Night RAW, it has made a mess of the WWE Title picture. Many fans questioned why the top Championship on Smackdown Live would be defended at a raw exclusive event.
Over the past few weeks, it has become more and more obvious that the match between Wyatt and Orton will no longer be for the title.
Tom Phillips on Smackdown Live this week kept saying that after Orton finishes with Wyatt, he will be defending the title against Jinder Mahal (who just became number one contender) at Backlash.
Pair that with WWE.com’s preview for the match and it looks like the match between Wyatt and Orton won’t be for the title. The official preview doesn’t mention anything about the WWE Championship being on the line and lists the match as:
“WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt — House of Horrors Match”

It looks like the ‘House of Horrors’ match will not be for the title. Bad news for Wyatt fans who wanted to see him get another chance at the belt. Good news for Wyatt fans because this way, he actually has a chance to win at Payback.
