An Injury That Was A Work
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer, Lars Sullivan’s broken jaw that was reported after Takeover: Chicago was a work. Meltzer guesses that WWE wanted to sell the injury as legit as a way to protect him from his loss to Aleister Black. That was Lars’ first loss since he started getting pushed in NXT.
WWE Has Interest In A Female Independent Wrestler
Meltzer also says that WWE has interest in independent wrestler Lacey Lane. It is unclear if that is just for the Mae Young Classic or if it is for a developmental deal.
Daniel Bryan’s Summerslam Opponent
According to Cageside Seats, Daniel Bryan’s Summerslam opponent will be made clear at Extreme Rules. The current rumors suggest that he will be facing either Kane or The Miz at the event.
