WWE Rumor Roundup: Unwritten Rule In WWE, Two NXT Stars Impress Management, More

Here are some of the latest WWE rumors that are floating around.

5) The Length Of Edge vs Randy Orton

The match between Edge and Randy Orton has already been taped in advance. According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, the match went for around 30 to 35 minutes:

“I believe they went 30-35 minutes, so if you were expecting an 18-minute match after they went 45 minutes at WrestleMania think again.”

Since the match was taped in advance, WWE will be able to edit things out if they aren’t happy with it.

My Take:

  • I really hope they edit it down from 30 minutes. That was the biggest complaint from their match at Wrestlemania 36, it was too long. Would they really make that mistake twice in a row? We will have to wait and see.

4) Two NXT Stars Impress Management

According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher recently impressed WWE officials.

This comes after their ‘cage fight’ that aired recently on NXT. Here is what Sapp wrote:

Speaking of Matt Riddle, his NXT farewell match was received exceptionally well by many of influence in NXT. One source in NXT told us that with any new match type there’s some hesitation, and some there weren’t as familiar with Timothy Thatcher’s work as they should have been. However, both Riddle and Thatcher impressed along the way.

My Take:

  • I already knew that Riddle was amazing but Thatcher was the one who really impressed me in that match. I am excited to see more of him on NXT over the next year.
