3) John Cena
Another name that we have to mention is John Cena, who last wrestled a match for WWE back in early 2019. There are rumors that Cena could be coming back for a big match at Wrestlemania 36. The rumor came from @Wrestlevotes, who said that Cena wants to something “substantial” at the event this year:
A “substantial” role at Wrestlemania could definitely mean a match for one of the World Titles. Cena only needs one more Title win to pass the record that he currently shares with Ric Flair. Cena’s chase for the record seems like a storyline that WWE will explore at some point. An easy way to set that storyline up would be Cena returning in the 30th spot and winning the Royal Rumble match.
Cena could either challenger Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. This could come after eliminating Lesnar from the Rumble match. Or, Cena could challenge ‘The Fiend’ at the event for the WWE Universal Championship. Either would be a big match for Wrestlemania 36.
I am not sure how the crowd would react to Cena winning the Rumble in 2020. Still, I could definitely see WWE doing it.
2) Ronda Rousey
Ronda Rousey is another name that I have to mention. I have been hoping that she will return during the Women’s Royal Rumble match and go on to challenge Becky Lynch at Wrestlemania 36. That is still a money match that fans want to see.
Ronda has been out of action since Wrestlemania 35 as she focuses on having a family. As of writing this, there has been no news that Ronda is pregnant, which means there is still technically some hope for Ronda coming back at Wrestlemania 36. There have been various hints that Ronda misses WWE and wants to come back for another match at some point.
If Ronda is coming back, the perfect moment for her return would be as the 30th entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. I think that she would receive a massive pop from the crowd. She could run in and destroy everybody to win the Rumble. Right away, she could hop on the microphone and challenge Becky. I think that would make for a pretty incredible moment.
This would be an awesome surprise and I don’t think that I am alone in wanting to see it happen.
