10) Clearing Up The Paige Rumors
Over the past few weeks, there have been some rumors about Paige possibly returning to the ring. The rumor was that she would be entering the women’s Royal Rumble match this year.
According to journalist Tom Colohue, this isn’t happening. People backstage also laughed when he brought up the rumor to them:
It has been denied by her mother, it has been denied many times over the years by Paige, and there is literally no evidence whatsoever that Paige will be returning.
Backstage people in the locker room laughed when I mentioned it. They just found the whole concept ridiculous.
My Take:
- Paige’s health is definitely the most important thing. Her retirement was only recent, so I never really bought into the rumors.
9) Why Brock Lesnar Is Entering The Royal Rumble At Number 1
Brock Lesnar was announced as the first entrant in the 2020 men’s Royal Rumble match. According to @Wrestlevotes, this is being done as a way to set up Brock’s match at Wrestlemania 36.

- I recently did an article about 5 WWE stars who could be the 2nd entrant in the Rumble match (you can read that here). The only NXT star who I picked was Keith Lee and I would be thrilled if he ended up feuding with Brock. I don’t see Brock’s next feud being a Smackdown star, unless he wins the Rumble and faces ‘The Fiend’ at Wrestlemania 36. Still, I have to say that Brock entering the Rumble first has me more intrigued about the match this year. Plenty of things could happen.
8) Jinder Mahal Returning At The Royal Rumble?
Jinder Mahal recently posted an Instagram video of him working out. In this video, he teased that he will be returning soon. Mahal has been out since June with a knee injury.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider also reported recently that WWE is bringing Jinder to Houston for Royal Rumble weekend. This could be a hint that Jinder will be returning in the men’s Royal Rumble match.
My Take:
- As long as we don’t build towards Jinder Mahal vs Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title, I am fine with Jinder coming back for this match.
