Matt Hardy recently retired from in-ring competition for WWE. There are some reports that suggest he is transitioning into more of a backstage role with the company moving forward. It looks like we still could see him pop up from time to time using his ‘Woken’ Matt gimmick.
According to a report from Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE is going to be filming a pilot for a new show featuring Matt and his family.
Satin says that WWE is heading to the Hardy Family compound in early October. This will be in order to film a WWE Network pilot. Satin notes that this is just a pilot right now and not a greenlit series.
It seems like this could be the ‘House Hardy: Halloween special’ that WWE teased in a recent survey to fans. Here is what the survey teased about the show:
“Go inside the WONDERFUL world of the Hardy family in this delightful short-form scripted sitcom, featuring Matt and Jeff Hardy”
Matt also recently teased that the Hardy Compound is expecting guests in the near future:
#SenorBenjamin, I need you to prepare The Dome of DELETION & The Hardy Compound for…. CELEBRATION!#HouseHardy is expecting guests in the near future..
And also prepare the Battlefield for MASSACRE.. if needed.
