3) 2nd Straight Pay-Per-View Without The Universal Title Being Defended
It was confirmed this week on RAW that Extreme Rules will mark the 2nd straight Pay-Per-View event that Brock Lesnar will NOT defend the WWE Universal Championship.
Brock also did not defend the title at the Payback event a few weeks ago and is yet to defend his title since winning it at Wrestlemania 33. Instead, there will be the fatal 5-way match to determine his next challenger for the title.
Some fans were not thrilled:
“A champion must defend his title in 30 days or be stripped of the title”
But Brock Lesnar can just get a free pass. #favoritism #RAW

Brock Lesnar is OBLIGATED to defend his WWE Universal Championship every 30 days!! He NEEDS to defend it at #ExtremeRules! #RAW

The 30-day rule does not apply to Brock.
4) Some Great Potential Opponents For Brock!
With the competitors announced for the Extreme Rules match, it is time to start thinking about who will be Brock’s next opponent. All 5 potential matches sound good to me!
Sign me up for any of: Brock vs Finn, Brock vs Bray, Brock vs Seth, Brock vs Joe or even Brock vs Reigns. I selfishly want to see them all!

Honestly, can’t say that I would be upset with any of these matches. Some might say they don’t want to see Reigns and Brock again, but I enjoyed their Wrestlemania match and want to see it one more time!
