14 Things That We Learned From WWE Payback 2017

7) Neville ESCAPED With His Title

In a rematch from Wrestlemania 33, Austin Aries got another chance at the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. He faced Neville at Payback.

It appeared that Neville was going to tap out during the match. He ended up using the referee to break the submission hold. The referee disqualified Neville, giving Aries the win. Unfortunately for Aries, Neville retains his title as a result.

Looks like this feud is far from over!

8) The Hardy’s Retained Their Titles!

The Hardy Boyz defended their RAW Tag Team Championships against Sheamus and Cesaro at the Payback pay-per-view.

Matt and Jeff were able to retain their championships after a great match. Jeff hit a Swanton Bomb to pick up the pin on Sheamus.

A great match by all four guys!
