It seems like Matt Hardy has been teasing that the ‘Broken’ Hardy gimmick will be coming to WWE for the past few months. It hasn’t happened yet and Matt continues to tease it on social media and sometimes even on WWE television.
WWE fans received another huge tease from Matt on Twitter this weekend, who said they are “days away from winning”. Was this just another tease from Matt or is there some merit behind it?
We have some good news for fans that want to see the gimmick in WWE.
Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio said that the Hardy’s and Anthem [the company that owns Impact] are very close to a deal.
Not much is known about the details of the deal being negotiated but Meltzer indicates that the Hardy’s are close to getting the gimmick.
This is great news. We have heard back-and-forth between the Hardy’s and Impact Wrestling for the past few months over ownership of the gimmick. It appears as if they are working together so we can see it in WWE. We will have to wait and see but this is certainly a good sign.
