We have some news to pass your way about who will be the next call-up from NXT to the WWE main roster. An obvious spoiler warning will apply to the rest of this post.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), Dave Meltzer noted that Shayna Baszler is expected to move to RAW full-time in the next few weeks. Here is what Meltzer wrote:
Shayna Baszler will be a regular on Raw shortly. She is leaving NXT and this has been planned for a long time, probably close to a year so the thing about not wanting to transfer stars in NXT to the main roster and give the idea NXT is developmental or a stepping stone rather than a third brand doesn’t apply to her.
Shayna moving to RAW would coincide with the rumor that suggests she will be facing Becky Lynch at Wrestlemania 36 for the RAW Women’s Championship.
UPDATE: According to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Shayna Baszler is scheduled to be at Monday’s RAW from the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California. This is a big hint that her official debut will be happening on the episode.
