The 2019 edition of Summerslam will be happening on August 11th in Toronto. The event has some big matches confirmed already, including Randy Orton vs Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscribe here), WWE is planning a fatal 4-way Title match for Summerslam.
Specifically, the IIconics will be defending their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against three other teams.
According to Meltzer, it will be the IIconics vs Nikki Cross & Alexa Bliss vs Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville vs The Kabuki Warriors.
While this match hasn’t been officially announced yet, it is being listed on WWE’s internal schedule. This likely means that there will be some sort of angle on this upcoming week’s episode of Smackdown to set it into motion.
If this does make the Summerslam card, it will mark the first time that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles will be defended since Wrestlemania 35.
