3) Poor Ticket Sales For Hell In A Cell
The Hell in a Cell PPV will be taking place at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, ticket sales are poor for the event:
At press time there are four lower deck sections on the side of the hard camera without tickets being sold, and 14 of the 23 upper deck sections with tickets not being sold and that’s in an historically great WWE market and really a strong market dating back to the early 60s
This isn’t really a surprise as they only advertised 3 matches up until 2 days before the event. A bit of an odd strategy by WWE.
2) Two Matches That Were Originally Advertised For The Event
Back in July, the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento was advertising two matches for the PPV. Here is what they were originally advertising for the event:
— Kofi Kingston vs Randy Orton for the WWE Championship.
— Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre.
This is a classic example of WWE’s “card subject to change” line. Still, these are hinting at what WWE was originally planning for the event.
