Sasha Banks Defeated Nia Jax

One of the biggest surprises of the night at WWE Fastlane was that Sasha Banks was able to defeat Nia Jax in their match.

Many fans (including us) picked Nia Jax as the clear favorite heading in. How could we not? She has been incredibly dominant since making her main roster debut.

Sasha would win the match after a sneaky roll-up on Jax:

After thinking about it, the decision certainly makes sense. Sasha needed to solidify her place in the RAW Women’s Title picture heading into Wrestlemania. Nia Jax pinned Bayley last week on RAW, giving her a case for the next Women’s Title match. With Sasha beating Nia, it gives her a claim in the match as well.

I personally expected Sasha to lose and turn heel later in the night. Both of these didn’t happen and the result was a big shock to me.
