WWE Extreme Rules Predictions – May 22 2016

Roman Reigns vs AJ Styles (WWE Heavyweight Championship) Extreme Rules Match. 

I have been very entertained by this feud and I think the WWE has done a great job building it so far. Reigns vs Styles at Payback a couple weeks ago was great and the two will look to top it at Extreme Rules. Both Reigns and Styles have been booked as ‘shades of gray’ type characters. Both have been toeing the line between heel and face, showing that they will do anything to one up each other. I will start with my over the top fantasy booking prediction. Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows turn on AJ Styles near the end of the match. They reveal they have been plotting with someone else, Finn Balor comes out and makes his WWE main roster debut by demolishing both Styles and Reigns. The Balor Club is born and the trio stand tall to close Extreme Rules. I would also love to see Seth Rollins return and get involved in this match somehow, but again this is only fantasy booking.

Now my realistic prediction is that Roman Reigns retains his title after another amazing match. Anderson and Gallows take out Reigns leaving Styles to pin the champion. He either refuses to win like that or Reigns kicks out. The Usos come to help and it turns into a brawl. Reigns hits Styles with a spear during the commotion and retains his title. I don’t want this to happen as I would like to see something big happen but my head says it plays out like that.

Official Prediction: Roman Reigns retains.
