Here is what we learned from Extreme Rules.
1) Nakamura vs Balor Deserved Better Than The Kickoff Show
The first match of the Extreme Rules kickoff show was for the Intercontinental Championship. Finn Balor put his belt on the line against Shinsuke Nakamura.
This is a match that deserves better than the kickoff show. Both Balor and Nakamura are stars and I hate how they have been booked over the past little while.
2) Shinsuke Nakamura Is The New Intercontinental Champion
After a solid match, Shinsuke Nakamura hit Finn Balor with the ‘Kinsasha’. This allowed him to pin Balor for the victory.
As a result, Nakamura is the new Intercontinental Champion!
3) Drew Gulak Retained The Cruiserweight Championship
The Extreme Rules kickoff show also featured a match for the Cruiserweight Championship. Drew Gulak put his belt on the line against Tony Nese.
After a solid match, Gulak was able to win. As a result, he is still our Cruiserweight Champion.
