WWE Extreme Rules 2018 Surprises That Could Happen

Here are some potential WWE Extreme Rules 2018 surprises that we think could happen on Sunday night.

8) Nikki Cross Appears

One of the biggest topics of conversation about SANITY coming up to the WWE main roster is that they didn’t bring Nikki Cross with them. It seems like an odd decision since Cross played a major role on the team when they were in NXT.

I think there is a chance that Nikki Cross could appear at Extreme Rules, where SANITY will face the New Day in a tables match.

Nikki made her main roster debut at a live event on Monday night where she teamed with Becky Lynch to defeat the IIconics. Maybe this is a hint that she will be joining her old crew on Sunday?

7) Kevin Owens Defeats Braun Strowman

I don’t think anybody is putting their money on Kevin Owens defeating Braun Strowman in their steel cage match at Extreme Rules. The storyline has been built to make us feel like Owens has zero chance to win.

I think a major surprise that could happen is Owens picking up the win over Strowman. They could do a spot where Owens gets thrown through the cage by Strowman (making him the technical winner). Owens could also escape and climb away from the Monster Among Men.

So why should Owens win? The answer would be to keep this feud going into Summerslam. I have been enjoying the silly stuff between Strowman and Owens over the past few weeks and I would like to see it continue. It also gives Strowman something to do over the next few weeks as we build into Summerslam.

Kevin Owens defeating Braun Strowman would be a surprise but I think it could happen.

6) The WWE Championship Match Goes On Last

A surprise that could happen at Extreme Rules is AJ Styles vs Rusev for the WWE Championship going on last. This would be a surprise because the WWE Title hasn’t gone on last at a PPV since the (Smackdown-exclusive) Fastlane event.

The heavy favorite to be the final match at Extreme Rules is Bobby Lashley vs Roman Reigns. This seems to be the match that WWE has given the most attention to on television over the past few weeks. We also saw Roman Reigns main event Backlash (vs Samoa Joe) over the WWE Title match between Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.

It would be a pleasant surprise to see WWE put Styles vs Rusev on last but I am not holding my breath.
