WWE Extreme Rules 2018 Predictions

10) Shinsuke Nakamura Will Win The United States Championship

This match has been officially confirmed for the event. There were some questions about if this would happen based on both Nakamura and Hardy dealing with some injuries right now. Both guys seem good to go and the match is set for Extreme Rules.

I think that WWE is going to give Nakamura some gold here. Hardy doesn’t need the U.S Title and Nakamura needs some credibility after coming up short for the WWE Title several times. I think it works out perfectly here and Nakamura goes on a dominant run as Champion.

I expect to see a Title change here.

9) Alexa Bliss Will Retain Her RAW Women’s Championship

Nia Jax is using her RAW Women’s Championship rematch for Extreme Rules. She will challenge her old friend Alexa Bliss, who cashed in and stole her Title at Money in the Bank. Here are a few reasons why I think Alexa will be retaining her Title:

1) The Title reign of Alexa just started and it doesn’t make much sense to flip the Title back over to Nia.

2) WWE is clearly setting up Alexa vs Ronda Rousey for the Title.

3) Even if WWE wants to keep Nia Jax in the feud with Alexa and Ronda, she doesn’t need to win the Title here. They could just do a disqualification finish where Nia isn’t pinned.

I would be pretty shocked if Alexa dropped the belt here.

8) Alexa Bliss Will Get The Better Of Ronda Rousey

WWE is teasing that Ronda Rousey will be sitting in the front row at Extreme Rules for the RAW Women’s Title match. That makes it seem pretty obvious that she will be getting involved in some way.

Since Ronda kicked the crap out of Alexa a few weeks back on RAW, I think Alexa will get a bit of revenge this time. I don’t think you can have Ronda keep destroying Bliss as we build towards their match. Ronda vs Alexa already feels like a mismatch and at some point, we will have to see Alexa get the upper hand.

I think Ronda will storm the ring at some point during the match. Alexa will end up running away to the backstage area. Ronda maybe gets jumped by both Alexa and Mickie James or something like that. Regardless of how they do it, I think Alexa will get the upper hand as we continue the build towards Ronda vs Alexa at Summerslam.

7) Team Hell No Will NOT Win The Smackdown Tag Team Championships

Daniel Bryan was randomly attacked by the Bludgeon Brothers on the June 19th episode of Smackdown Live. This cost Bryan a shot at facing AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. On the June 26th episode of Smackdown, Bryan was attacked again by the Bludgeon Brothers. This time, Kane made the save and Team Hell NO is officially back together. Paige made it official: The Bludgeon Brothers vs Team Hell No for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships at Extreme Rules.

This should be a pretty interesting match. The Bludgeon Brothers have been dominant Champions so far and I am not sure if WWE wants to pull the plug on their reign. On the other hand, one last Title reign for Kane before he hangs up the boots sounds great.

I am going to go with the Bludgeon Brothers retaining. Kane has his election coming in August and I really don’t see him being around that much. He will have his hands full and as a result, I think Team Hell No will come up short.
