14) WWE Will Save Bayley vs Sasha Banks For Summerslam
Bayley and Sasha Banks have had their fair share of issues over the past several months. Both have been going to counseling sessions to try and resolve their issues with one another.
I think that WWE is going to save this match for Summerslam. I originally thought that we would see one match at Extreme Rules and a second at Summerslam but I am not so sure anymore. Them being in counseling has me feeling like WWE is going to prolong the storyline for another few weeks.
It makes sense too. Bayley and Sasha tore down the house several years ago at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn in the Barclays Center. Summerslam takes place in the same building which would be a fun place to save Bayley vs Sasha for.
UPDATE: I am guessing we see a backstage segment between these two at Extreme Rules.
13) Carmella Will Retain After James Ellsworth Escapes The Shark Cage
This match has been officially confirmed for Extreme Rules. Carmella will defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Asuka. James Ellsworth will be locked inside of a shark cage above the ring.
The shark cage stipulation has me thinking that Carmella will be retaining the Title. Ellsworth will probably escape at some point from the cage and this will distract Asuka. This will allow Carmella to roll-up Asuka for the win.
Maybe WWE will surprise us and Ellsworth will stay in the cage for the entire match. Based on history alone though, I have to bet against that happening.
12) The Deleters of Worlds Will Retain Their RAW Tag Team Championships
This match has been officially confirmed for Extreme Rules. Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt will defend their RAW Tag Team Championships against Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas.
I am a fan of the B Team and I have enjoyed their antics over the past several weeks. While saying that, I don’t think they will be winning the Tag Team Titles. Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy seem like the favorites to retain.
After the B Team, I see Hardy and Wyatt feuding with the Revival and/or the Authors of Pain. There is still much to explore with Wyatt and Hardy as Champions and because of that, I don’t think they will be losing any time soon.
11) Baron Corbin Will Defeat Finn Balor
It has now been confirmed, ‘Constable’ Baron Corbin will take on Finn Balor at Extreme Rules.
I would like to start off by saying that I am digging this ‘Constable’ Corbin storyline so far and I think he is doing great in the role. I was never a big fan of Corbin but this gimmick change has really spiced him up in my eyes.
As for the match itself, I am going to say that Corbin picks up the win. I really think that WWE is going to push the ‘Constable’ character over the next few months. As a result, I see Corbin getting the win here. I think Balor loses and maybe goes on to feud with Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship.
